The 10 plagues were related to each Egyptian god, the first plague, turning the water into blood, was significant to the Egyptian gods of the Nile river, which was the blood of the god Osiris. The second plague, the abundance of frogs in Egypt was for the god Heqet. The third plague, the overrun of gnats was for the god Set. The fourth plague, flies, was a judgement for Re. the fifth plague, the death of livestock was a judgement for Apis and Hathor. the sixth plague, boils was a judgement for Sunu and Isis. the seventh plague, hail, attacked Nut and Osiris. The eighth plague, locusts, was a judgement for Nut, Osiris and Set. The tenth plague, the death of the firstborn male was a judgement for Isis the protector of children.

Genesis 9:5-6 states
“And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”
This passage from the Bible says to me that man will die eventually and that men will die at the  hands of other men. It says to me that Capital Punishment is okay if the man who is being acused of murder is in fact guilty and does not feel regretful for committing his crime.

Remember B

1. Noah was the only man to walk with God in the world he lived in. That is why he was told to build a boat.
2. Waters flooded the earth for 40 days and 40 nights. The number 40 is a number used for cleansing and preparation for the new world
3. God reintrusted the world to Noah after the floods.
4. The flood symbolises the cleansing power of baptism acheived through Christs' redemption
5. God's new laws for Noah and his family were intended to lead people to have blessed and prosperous lives.
6. God's love for human kind is never ceasing and he is always ready to give us a second chance
7. Noah's sacrifice of clean animals is a foreshadowing of christ's crucifiction.

Moral and spiritual truths that God tries to communicate with us through Scripture are that God tests Noahs obediance to him and he says that the righteous will survive the flood he brings upon the earth. God baptises the Earth when he floods it and washed the world of its sinfulness. The flood starts a new life for humans.
